Shashi Kapoor, who played Shashi Sehgal in this movie, is in real life the youngest paternal uncle of Rishi Kapoor, who played Karan Saxena Kannu. That was used as the plot point for their similar looks.Karan Johars upcoming directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is reportedly a remake of Doosra Aadmi. The roles of Rishi Kapoor, Rakhee, Neetu Singh and Shashi Kapoor will be reprised by Ranbir, Aishwarya, Anushka and Fawad Khan respectively. ........
